I saw Pfaff last night - a one man show with recorded guitar loop, and live drumming and screaming/shouting/singing. it was bloody ace! Seriously. I think I can safely say it seemed to have influences of Sonic Youth, the Fall, and the Moldy Peaches! At least to me. It was very funny, and very good. I also bought the album, and that's ace as well, though it sounds a tiny bit calmer and reminded me of Schwervon! and Prewar Yardsale.
And the guys is a crazy Dutch man with a penchant for magic mushrooms, or so it would seem.
If this guy is playing near you I urge you to go see it! I have no idea of tour dates left, but I reckon he'll have a myspace page. Anyone ever heard of this guy?
EDIT: http://pfaff.musicweb.nl and www.myspace.com/pfaffmusic. His website even has a poem called Amsterdam is a Graveyard, which is creditied as being written by the Moldy Peaches! Though it's in Dutch, which is just double-Dutch to me...
