hi,
i haven't posted on here for a while so hello one and all. i saw that not much info. had been posted about the UK tour so far so i thought i'd put a bit of a review up on here for all those of you who can't make it. last night was really great and it was good to see jeff play solo acoustic 'cos he hasn't toured like this for a while. He said that he was finding it hard to play on his his own, so he got brer brian who played with the support band The NY Howl to play with him. this was really cool, with brer kind of improvising with finger-picked guitar over jeff songs (before each song, jeff had to tell brer what key the song was in and the chords!). i've put what i can remember from the setlist below.... i think it's pretty accurate although the order of songs in the middle might be a bit jumbled if anyone else was there and i've got anything wrong, please correct it! they finished with the brer brian song harlem 99 which was really cool too. anyway, hope this is of interest to some people.
*'Pig'*
If Life Exists
Roll Bus Roll
'Red Hand' (Video)
The Singing Tree
*'Dieing song'*
Objectified
They Always Knew (this was really intersting done acoustically)
The Complete History Of Communism Pt. 4 (Video) (!!)
Moving
Back When I Was 4
Creeping Brain (Video)
Don't Be Upset
Heavy Heart
Harlem '99
* - new songs i hadn't heard before
P.S i can't remember the proper title ofthe video about the red hand, although i'm sure i've seen it before. |

Thanks, Adam, that's a great review! Communism Part 4? I thought there was only three parts - so this is the next stage in the story? Wow - cool! Though I suspect someone will now tell me there has always been a fourth part...
Anyway, sounds like you had a great time -- reminds me of when I used to go to the Jug for various antifolkers |

pt. 4 of the history of communism is indeed new and was cool to see (it's about communist rule china).... the comic book looked very new (not beat up like his others) as did the comic book for creeping brain. jeff also said he might do pt. 5 about cuba or a few other places. i also forgot to mention in my first post..... JEFF HAS GROWN A BEARD!!!!! and mighty fine it is too |
