I like it!
It's one of my favourite Jeff Lewis songs.
Your style reminds of someone who isn't Jeff. I like.

dude mang!!!
i write this in english for ya:
there´s no way to play antifolk in a right way, antifolk isn´t a fucking genre or anything, antifolk or this sort of music (call it whaaever you want) that jeff & jack and the dünes and the wave pics and kimya and prewar yardsale and so on play, it´s just simple sounds with total trueness, that´s what they want and that´s what we want, to listen and make music that is true, songs that are true and beautiful without being modulated and filtered a hundred times, it´s the raw truth out of their hearts, so i´d say you should grab your guitar and play and sing what comes to your mind, but only play and sing what you like and what you think that it is true, totally true!!!
i hope i could help you, mr. fall-(not the band, the season)-freak
hope to hear from you, i´d like to record some more foreign language songs, you know!!!
take care man!

PS: texte nennt man im englischen LYRICS, will nicht den oberlehrer spielen, aber andernfalls könnt man dich falsch verstehen und das wär schlecht!!! _________________ every halloween they hung a million rubber skeletons |

hey nick!
thanks for your kind words!
yeah, i´ve been absent for a long time, but i swear i´ll post my shit more often, i´m kind of busy these days, but i guess i´ll write some more at the weekend.
then i finally can upload our cover of springtime and my friends kill my folks, i hope it works, i´m not that good at putting stuff online, i´m more a slsk kind of guy, but sadly i haven´t seen you online there, but may i can catch you on the weekend, i´ll see.
so well, i can´t remember where this page is where i read the 3 most important "rules" of antifolk, and too i only can guess who said it, i guess it was the amazing diane cluck, so here are the 3 "rules":
1 - the song must be absolutely true (at least for you)
2 - it should be beautiful music (at least for you)
3 - it shouldn´t be raw, i mean the qualitiy factor, it shouldn´t be mastered like a damn pop album, just hit the record button, do your thing, stop, digitalize, over and out!
tschüssioa,

I'd agree with them, although I'd say another rule was to discard all other rules and not give a shit. Although, if you disregard most rules of popular music, you end up doing those 3 things anyway.
I think it's purely about the honesty of the music. Wheather that be in the lyrics or the production or both.
Also, not being pretentious and mean. There are no rock star types. That's how I feel anyway. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

hey "jack fe" ( i´m sorry, dunno yer real name!)
yeah, that´s right, i just tried to write down what i´ve read online.
personally i don´t give a shit about anything, when i make music other people think that i´m somehow handicapped or insane or stupid or just an asshole, i don´t give a shit about rythm, melodies or anything, i just try to get out the maximum noise of the instument.
somehow that´s why i got this captain beefheart tick, he once said "why shall i rehearse, if i´d rehearse i wouldn´t discover anything new."

I completely understand that. I love just improvising with my friends and recording it. Beautiful accidents are so much better than something completely planned. I give my drummer really vague instructions for a beat and he never has any idea what I want, but I like being surprised.
My names Nic by the way. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |
