The English translation by David McNeil (1983) agrees with you ema-- he says a man balanced on two or three verses by Prevert , like he was balanced on a tightrope. So cancel "well-balanced man." Vers libre, I thought were free unrhymed verses. Also free of charge so not added up with L'Addition, the bill or the sum. |
