Back from this evening with Jeff & Co supporting Adam Green.
Very short but awesome set, if only it had last longer !

The blue lightnings were very atmospherics, and they had a video projector, which was useful during the low (but expending)- budget videos, and provided screensaver effects that fitted with the lights.

I was late at the show, so I cannot tell how the setlist was decided. I'll let Dav, Eva, or Will speak about it!

Lucky. Adam is one of my favourite artists ever. And there are no shows near me. Grrr.

Here is my review :

Nick (Will Oldman from the board) and his friend Matt came to pick Ema and i in Rennes, we drank a couple of coffees and then hit the road to Nantes.

We arrived pretty early and we met Jeff, Jack and David and we chated, then the guys asked us if we wanted to make the setlist for the show, and of course we wanted to do it !
Jack told us that they can play 6 or 7 songs, so began the mind torture : choosing the songs, we all wanted to see Flood that we never saw before, then Will suggested Time machine as i mentionned earlier that i wanted to see it someday....Ema wanted to see objectifed, Matt choose Another Girl and Nick choose The Red hand, and as a cover we all agreed that don't be scared could be fucking awesome (ahah!). Jeff told us that we can also write down "surprise" if we wanted to get songs that we didn't choose, that was a good idea too...then some of us bought shirts, some of us bought comics and some of us bought beer !

Our good friend Bibasse just arrived as the Lewis Bros and David hitted the stage and opened with Flood, that's one of my favorite song so i don't really need to mentionned that i enjoyed it a lot ! Then they played Time machine, with a cool transition between it and Flood. It was the first time i saw time machine and it rocks !
The first video shown was The Red Hand, the audience seems to really like this one, everyone was laughing as the video was shown.
Objectified was played after, slow song, great lyrics, can't wait for the next record !
Then it was surprise time and what a great surprise : The guys covered a punky version of Syd Barrett's Arnold Lane (i am aware than it's a Pink Floyd song but hey, who cares...), that was sooooooo great, i have to admint i almost droped a tear at this moment.....Jeff showed us another low budget video, history of communism part three, the story was a bit longer than the last time and told us that the part 4 is on its way : communism in China !
Another Girl ended the set, great version, a lot of energy.......the set was short but that was definitly my favorite one !

The guys seemed to enjoy the show a lot, they were smiling and jumping around !
After the show we chated with Jack, Jeffrey and David for a couple of hours, it was very cool, we even took a pictures of the band with message boarders, Will will (Will²) post it i guess Smile

Too bad i'm broke i so wanted to go to the Liverpool show, maybe next time....

What can I add... a magic setlist indeed, flood and time machine being my highlights. The boys were in a very good mood. Plus, they were selling guff#1 which is now fuff#1, so i finally catched it, along with his bonus cd and the annoted discography of the punk on lower east side. There were some new cool t-shirts, (but the green one was really tight). Oh, and it was funny to see Adam Green.

argh, i have no time, i can't write a proper review, but it was exceptional, remarkable!!!it been a long time i didn't have shivers down my spine during a show...... and at a moment, i was just speechless...arnold lane cover...mmmm....that was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood !!!!!!!!!!!!
