I was excited to see a 13 date tour announced in August and September 2024.

I'm looking forward to going to Hertford, Coventry, Northampton and Hastings.

Hertford is the closest to where I live, I visit the town frequently but I've never been to a gig there.

I've never been to Coventry before but I'm stopping over and will visit the centre the morning after the gig before getting a train home. I've heard the cathedral is pretty.

I saw Jeffrey Lewis last time he played Northampton in 2019. That was at the same venue, the Black Prince. One of the best Jeffrey Lewis gigs I've been too because it was basically a room in the back of a pub. September 2024 will take me to Northampton for the second time in my life. Last time I managed to get back to East London on the last train but it was close. I'm five years older now and I have opted for a hotel. My wife was alarmed to see that the band were travelling from Northampton to Carmarthen but I reminded her that Americans laugh at the British concept of long driving distances.

I visited Hastings for work in early 2023. I work for a trade union and had to support a picket line at a hospital. I didn't get much time in Hastings but I was surprised to see that there was quite an alternative culture in the town that I didn't anticipate. All the local anarchists, socialists and trade unions turned up to the picket which I loved. I'm looking forward to visiting again.
