I was thinking of making a "Tapes From the Crypt part 2" but there would be a copyright problem with a lot of the cover songs so maybe just having free downloads is a good solution.
Or, Dav, or anybody else who knows how, can I just mail you a disc of some of these tracks and you can make downloads here of the ones you think people might want? It's not a huge amount of stuff, I'm thinking of maybe about 10 or 12 songs that I have floating around in my iTunes library. |
I'm happy to say that the disc arrived yesterday

Great! Thanks Jeff and Dav. I love the Moondog cover, even though it always makes me sad to think that he was such a bigot. I really his music. The orange self-titled is especially incredible. And the Peter Stampfel cover is great! I love the Bottlecaps record (which I illegally downloaded, linking to the other threads - Jeff, do you know anywhere I could buy it? He's someone I want to be supporting. I've bought all the Rounders albums I've ever found, but I don't know how much of that would be going to him and Weber...) _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |

Gosh I don't know of a good site to buy Peter Stampfel stuff from, where the money would go to him... I know that he does sell CD copies of a lot of his old albums when he plays shows, but not all of his old albums (there are so many of them). I love that Peter Stampfel & The Bottlecaps record, but I bought it on used vinyl from a record store. Actually there's at least one other Peter Stampfel & The Bottlecaps record that exists but I don't have it and I don't know if I've ever seen it anywhere.
If you want to get in touch with Peter directly to ask him what albums he has available to order from him, send me your email at JeffLewisBand@gmail.com and I'll pass the request on to him... |

I was amazed to find the link still working nearly 14 years later. Just downloaded and tested, looking forward to listening! |
