I found some Jeffrey Lewis podcast interviews a while back, and Jeffrey was full of praise of this obscure gem - "A Punk's Punk" by Tony Green. It is brilliant.

I'm a big fan of Tony Green... I'm so glad you agree that's a great song! My other favorite Tony Green songs include "the 4th of July" (which I've also covered sometimes), "I Didn't Love You Anyway", "Jamoaca Almond Fudge", "Brian's Song",
oh man there's a lot of ones that I think are really great.
Tony Green has a new album coming out sometime later this year or next year, looking forward to it. |
