Listening to City and Eastern Songs for the first time in a long time, i forgot how much i enjoyed the production on this album, especially on acoustic tracks like The Singing Tree and Moving and new old friends. Lots of washy psychedelic sounds.
I love Jeffs stripped back lo fi stuff, but id love to hear more albums with different production aesthetics. _________________ http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3006/2501926108_65f54395f7.jpg?v=0

On the vinyl re-issue of City & Eastern, there's a bonus Live version of The Singing Tree. Who is it introducing the band, and where was this recorded?
You can also listen to it here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nozsCPFETEY |

That's a version from Berlin, 2007, being introduced by my uncle Professor Louie (he was performing there too). |
