Saw Jeff play two solo shows in hot venues in Brighton and London last week. The sets were mostly made up of new material (some of which I remembered from the January gigs in London).
The set list for the London show is below (I've guessed the song titles I didn't know).
Tip of a Match
The Disease
Minnie the Moocher from the future
So Awesome!
Dogs of my Neighbourhood
2x Nirvana Bleach songs - Big cheese & Mr Moustache (low budget videos)
Nose to the Grind
Both Ways
Everything is Fine
Good Old Pig
Depression! Despair!
Trump Taxes
Logins and Pins
Detective (low budget video)
My Girlfriend Doesn't Worry
Brand New Ways
Heavy Heart
Encore
Mighty Machines
Cult Boyfriend
The setlist from Brighton was very similar but in a different order. Instead of the detective low budget video Jeff did one for 'I Saw a Hippie Girl...' which was placed at the end of the set.
The new songs went down well (one of the things I like about Jeff's shows, like with The Wave Pictures, is the mix of new songs and unexpected older ones). My favourites were 'The Disease', 'Everything is Fine' and 'My Girlfriend Doesn't Worry'. 'So Awesome!' and 'Depression! Despair!' were faster paced than the others with catchy choruses.
Some of the new songs played at the January shows which didn't make either of the setlists this time, but will hopefully get a future airing (since they stayed with me) were:
Guest List (Statute of Limitations)
Get the Car. Park the Car
Dictator for Hire
Mind Over Matter
I didn't notice any new items on the merch table. Hopefully 'The Artist Alone Will Decide...' will become a future tour CD or something. |

Cheers for the update. I went to both shows in January but couldn't make it this time.
I hadn't realised until a couple of weeks ago that Get the car, Move the Car is on the PIAPTK vinyl compilation (and Going Postal which was also played in Jan).
I remember liking LP Disease at the Jan shows, and Guest List was great too. Hopefully they will all turn up on one of the three upcoming projects. |

Gutted to have missed Minnie The Moocher too! I saw that tour but didn't get to see Jeff do that one. |
