The show was just amazing, the venue, a bar, was well packed and it was soooooo warm inside, especially on stage, according to Jeff and Jack.
Here is what i can remember from the setlist
Springtime
The Happening (pixies cover), that one was really cool, i always though it's an underated song)
No lsd tonight
williamsburg will oldham horor
the upsidedown cross
have a baby
Scowling Crackhead Ian
Bugs And Flowers
sad screaming old man
alphabet
broken heart
the french revolution (video)
a funny crossover (video) was really cool to see champion jim in another adventure)
water leaking, featuring an incredible noisy ending
you don't have to be a scientist
i might be forgeting a couple songs.
It was so great to see Jeff and Jack after such a long time, i got to admit i missed seeing Drummer Dave but the new members were really great on stage.
The merch table was so full of incredible stuff, i got two LP, three fuffs that i haven't had yet, a Jack tape album.
I wish i had more money that night,! _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

Glad you had a lovely time it sounds like a top night - lucky you! I'm jealous! And I could do with a nice hug from the good man as well.
I was thinking of Jeff today when I was reading 'Hello Kitty's Guide to London' and there was an entry about the Cartoon Museum there. I wondered if any Fuff or related art has made it there, or if Jeff has ever been. _________________ You don’t put your life into your books. You find it there. |

The Upside down cross is one of my favourites too, but I don't think I've ever heard it live. I only saw Jeff and Jack play together once, and I'm not sure Jeff plays it when Jack is not on bass!
I am hoping to go see a comic exhibit on the life of Cervantes this week. I waited too long and now it's almost over so I have to go soon. I'm not sure if there will be a comic album on sale too, but if so I'd love to get it. I studied Cervantes a bit and he had a pretty interesting life, including participating in a large naval battle, getting taken prisoner and spending several years in jail in northern Africa.
Maybe an interesting idea for a Jeff Lewis low budget movie? |

They also performed Back to Manhattan, was sort of weird to see Jeff not playing guitar! _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

Yeah, we've tried a few different live arrangements of Back to Manhattan, the current live version is Mem on lead guitar... with Jack on bass... me on keyboards and tambourine... Jack and Mem and Brent all on harmonicas! But sometimes it's hard for Mem to play the harmonica and guitar at the same time, so on this tour it has often just been Brent and Jack on double harmonica (instead of triple harmonica!). |

Cool, thanks for the nice pix!
I lost my sleeping bag that night, no idea where it went, it was there in the car during the drive but then when we went to the apartment where we were sleeping and unloaded the car it seemed like my sleeping bag had just vanished... it must have fallen out of the car somewhere, maybe at a gas station or something... we even went back to the venue to look on the ground, in the street, but it's just one of those tour mysteries...
Anyway, it was a good night, great to see some familiar faces!! |

I think this seems to be Youtube footage of the entire Rennes show! I haven't had a chance to watch this, somebody just sent me this link... seems like a good view/angle. Hopefully the sound quality woudl be okay too. I'll check it out more if I have more time to listen to some of it. Anyway maybe it's a good document of the current 4-piece band line-up (me plus Mem and Jack and Brent).
