I used to do a lot more finished drawings in my sketchbooks, just stuff like fantastical images, posters for non-existent events, weird illustrations just for fun., not to be used anywhere, not for money, just to have fun drawing... I think in recent years I have mostly done less of this kind of thing in my sketchbooks, I have had less time for it (because I've done more "real" comic books, and album art and illustrated songs other stuff that I DO have a use for) and I wanted to get back to it! So here's a "useless" drawing from about a week ago, done for no particular reason, just to have fun spending a day or so working on a drawing in my sketchbook, trying to make it look good. The phrase "Stereophrenia" came to me and I wanted to use it for something, just thought it would be a fun word to write. Then the upper right-hand corner looked a little empty so I added the "99".

Art for art's sake is good. I am liking all the image activity on this site at the moment, it makes me happy to think people are doing what they enjoy. x _________________ You don’t put your life into your books. You find it there. |

Yeah, since I got back from tour in February all I've wanted to do is draw in my sketchbooks!
But I guess I have to get back to "real" work soon... booking shows for the summer... stuff like that. |

Stereophrenia is a nice word, love the meaning of it, might be quite an experiment to listen to music while suffering of it _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

I love it!
this is the term I'm going to use when I accidentally listen to the stereo-separated remaster of Pet Sounds and wish the two channels were just one |
