The Jeffrey Lewis/Peter Stampfel album "Come On Board" was recorded in December 2010, and rushed to the manufacturing plant so we could have 1,000 real CD copies made in time to take on tour!
There's a few hundred CDs left, and they're now available at the merchandise section of Major Matt Mason's friendly neighborhood independent online distribution shop Olive Juice Music...

My copy just showed up today, yay. Reading the album notes now and just about to give it a listen (kind of sad to see that "Stick your ass in the air" isn't included)

| I got the album friday, and I have as my alarm now. At first I really had to get used to Peter Stampfel's voice, but now that I am, I really like the songs. They make me smile! |

Ah ha, maybe THIS is where people are finding dead links to buying that album! A couple folks emailed me saying they tried to get that album but couldn't... this old posting must be why.
SO - the scoop - Olive Juice no longer exists as a distro (because Major Matt Mason who ran it has moved from NYC to Kansas City).
NOW all of my online ordering is actually done personally by me, via this page that is connected to my website:

That's the only place online where one can buy the Come on Board CD, etc.
Sorry for any confusions! The internet must be full of old bad links hidden in odd corners of different websites, very hard to make sure they are all up-to-date. |
