Submarine is a book, by Joe Dunthorne. It is set in Wales near where I live, and is about growing up and having parents and stresses and love, but in a good way, for adults to read and remember their youth.
It isn't famous really, it is known as a british comic/tv actor person directed it so that sort of person went to see it. They play it on Film 4 channel here every so often.
I recommend it, if you can take looking back on being 15! I find it is ok as it's from a male perspective but still, it's spot on.
I'm sure you're far too busy to actually hunt it down or anything, maybe I will treat you to a copy and bring it to your gig for you or something. xxxx
