Did anyone else get a record with weird pops? There's a spot on the first track (see picture), but it pops throughout the whole thing, even on the B side...

Knowing my luck, it's probably the only one...
Where were these pressed? [/img] |

Hi Nsenada!
Sorry if you ended up with some kind of defect, email me at JeffLewisBand@gmail.com and I can mail you a replacement copy.
The spot that you mention, is it the white-ish area in the photo? Often I'll buy records that have some kind of dust or paper in the grooves, causing a sonic defect until I wipe it off. A moist bit of tissue works, or any other thing like that... vinyl can be wet and dried without problem, though you probably still wouldn't want to SOAK it... I've washed many a grease and dust and paper and hair out of many vinyl grooves of records I've bought over the years. However I also know that sometimes there is such a thing as an actual defect in the groove, I remember buying a brand new sealed Acetone LP (90s band that I love) and being shocked there were a couple bad skips in the grooves of a record that was obviously being played for the very first time. I'd never seen that before.
These Acid LPs were manufactured in Brooklyn by a place that the Don Giovanni record label uses, I did open and listen to one when I took my portion of the shipment home and it sounded okay but of course I can't unseal and listen to all of 'em before selling them... some kinda random defect is always a possibility in the occasional sample of any mass-produced thing. I certainly hope it's not a more widespread problem, I haven't heard any complaints yet though I've been selling the vinyl since Oct 22... which hopefully means it's just a random issue with your copy alone...
Let me know whatcha think!
