For all the people that either fancy a new JL song, or can understand French, or both. It's about a venue there where my friend saw the band and stole me the setlist from and sent it in the mail to me. Very kind! xxx

This was a pretty funny situation and a fun song to write...
we played a show in this venue in Lille, France, and the venue asked us to stay an extra day to write and record a song about the place. They gave me some information about the venue, and the part that I thought was the most interesting was that the venue has FOUR mottos:
1) "It's like my house, but a bit more big."
2) "It was better before."
3) "NO to youth music!"
4) "Your eardrums are our friends."

These are such funny mottos! And it was fun to learn how to say them in French... so that is what I based my song on. Lail Arad from London was also in Lille during the day when I wrote the song, so she helped me a bit with the pronunciation.

ALSO Lou Reed was coming to Lille to play a show in L'Aeroneff! Of course he was playing in the big room and our show was in the smaller connected space. But I was still excited to be the in the same place that Lou Reed was going to be in soon.

Oh exciting, thank you for the information! I speak some rusty French and was generally a bit confused about what was going on, so thank you for helping me with that. Very sexy French accent Smile xxx
