There must be a 'block user' button somewhere? I know you can ban people from boards, other places do it all the time when people are rude or abusive or whatever.
I get them to my email. If I don't get offered to enlarge my non-existent penis at least 4 times a week I get upset....

But man, do I ever need some new and/or used catering equipment. That spam link could be my lifeline... |

you can delete the post by clicking the X above it, when you go to administration board (at the bottom of any page) you access the real admin stuff, to the left browse down to active user, check who you want to delete (mark comumn) then choose delete user at the bottom (delete marked). Let me know if you got it.
I'll ban the hotmail.com email as it seems to be used by bots lately. _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

oh i forgot, never use the pruning function, it would erase the whole board, you can make some full backup from time to time so you can restore the place if it's down for any reason...use the back up data base and choose full back up, then store the file you downloaded on your computer somewhere, i used to make a back up every couple of month.
Drop a pm if you have administration questions, or anything. _________________ http://uberaffe.bandcamp.com |

The machines are taking over - and making no sense at all in the process!
Part of me hopes that it's just this very special community that gets subjected to these weird and wonderful spam posts. Forums get the bots they deserve |

Does any one post anywhere else experiencing this? As it happens, I only post here so have no idea, is spam on the increase? All I know is I got 4 penis enlargement emails today alone, which is pretty good for someone with lady bits xxxx _________________ You don’t put your life into your books. You find it there. |

It would be pretty funny if we could just create a "spam" topic, so any spam bots can just leave their nonsense messages there (and maybe they could talk to each other). |

On the other forum's I'm on I haven't really seen this, but maybe the moderators there work lightning-fast so I never get to see the spam?
It's funny to see how this topic is turning into a thread where all the spambots gather. Though AMELIA hasn't been here yet... Or has she been deleted? Why do I assume AMELIA is female when she's most probably just a bot and in any case I have no way of knowing her gender? I have yet to learn how to deal with all these weird bots :S |

Amelia is a girls name in the UK at least, so I assume it's a female, but who knows! I do think the spammers should have their own thread though, then I could come on and have a chuckle when bored on the internet xx _________________ You don’t put your life into your books. You find it there. |
