| Wow, that was really interesting, thanks for posting that. I've heard a few people mention recently that the planet is dying, but now some new crazy theories are going through my head and that's always fun, although I think I might lose a couple nights sleep contemplating what might happen next if the Earth is going to try to save itself by ridding itself of humanity. |

"The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman is a great book on this topic, expanding on all of the ideas in the article and adding a lot of other really interesting information. Me and Jack and Dave listened to "The World Without Us" as an audiobook on tour a couple years ago and it really blew us away, I recommend it extremely highly!!
I guess Weisman must have written that article before he wrote the full book, maybe he even mentions in the book that the idea started from that article, I forget. |
