I always wondered why the anti folk scene doesn't like Beck.
I've read really harsh messages on Olive juice message board about him, and i know that most people here aren't really fan of the guy.
I would like to understand what is bad about Beck?
I don't like all of his work but he got some seriously good albums.

Whenever I hear his earlier stuff, I really enjoyed it. I like some of the singles I hear enough, but he always seems like such an asshole to me.
I need to listen more to the LPs he put out on K, and could give some others a go if I like it. Rhiannon really likes him.

One foot in the grave the lp he put out on K is maybe is best lp, Calvin Jonhson make great backing vocals on it.
Stereopathetic soul manure also is a great lp, sounds a lot like one foot in the grave.
Mutation is a beautiful lp also, lazy flies is a perfect tune.

i love beck and always have. especcialy his early work, one foot in the grave aswell as mellow gold are probaly 2 of my favourite albums.
hes a confident mucisian whos never scared to try and somthing new out, and i admire that. maybe its the fact that his sound changes so often that splits and annoys some people. but i dont think its a bad thing at all.
i have heard hes a bit of a weird guy. not sure if thats just persona or not though. i know he was born into a sciontology family
