I watched a really interesting documentary about Rough Trade last night - you can watch it if you go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv/bbc_four and choose the right programme. Sadly no mention of Jeff though - despite him actually having written a song on the subject.
It was followed by a compilation programme of performances by Rough Trade artists - including a brief snippet of the wonderful Ivor Cutler singing a song that goes 'I'm happy, I'm happy, and I'll punch the man who says I'm not', and the Violent Femmes with a terrifying song about a man pushing his daughter down a well. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/arhythmicnick |

God, that Ivor Cutler song is so brilliant.
Happy, Happy.. Punch!
I'll check it out later. _________________ myspace.com/frozymusic |
