Taking me forever, I know!
I got it mastered last week but it didn't seem quite loud enough compared to other recent Rough Trade releases so had it re-mastered today, I think it's fine now.
Finished the CD art and design, tho my original design was deemed too elaborate/expensive by Rough Trade so I re-designed the whole thing, it actually looks better than the original design (tho a little more "normal") and the cheaper manufacturing costs are going to mean a more affordable store price (according to Rough Trade) so I thought that was worth the compromise. I also finshed redesigning the art for the vinyl version, which is going to come out simultanious with the CD version, and I believe it's going to have a vinyl release in the UK for the first time (12 Crass Songs was released on vinyl in the US and available in the UK as an import, an actual UK vinyl release will be less expensive in stores).
Unfortunately the idea of including low-budget videos with this album did not come about - Trying to keep the manufacturing and retail costs low, Rough Trade would have only released a double-disc or video-enhanced version in a limited pricey edition of 1,000 which kind of killed the point for me... if it was going to be a limited/expensive thing that would mean that only fans would likely buy it, and fans already know and have seen all those low-budget videos, i was hoping for a collection that would make the visual songs an accessable item to all the people out there that don't know they exist, so I'd rather save them for another project. Maybe as a separate album or something.
But so far everyone involved thinks the album looks and sounds great, including me!
UK release date April 20, US release date May 5 (both subject to change depending on how things go...)
Just finished a new music video too, for "To Be Objectified", the final video edits are done and it oughtta be watchable online pretty soon. It was made by a local company that does music videos for 99 bucks, a pretty darn good price!

Also, much support for the 'low-budget video as seperate album' project. I'd love to see something like that see the light of day.
