I just read that bit about that HMHB song - I forgot I used to cover it a couple of years ago.. fond memories! I saw them recently in Wolverhampton - awesome set.

Today I've been relentlessly rocking "The Hopeful and the Unafraid" by Jason Alexander. An awesomely upbeat and positive record, and he seems to sound a little like Joe Stummer in places..

Shostakovitch's Piano Concerto Number 1. It has a fantastic trumpet bit at the end.

I just realised up there that I called him Jason Alexander when it's actually Anderson... wasn't the first one in Seinfeld or something?

Anyway... I've been listening to The Purple Organ since seeing him play over the weekend... it was an awesome set/show overall.

I've been rocking last.fm at work today - I love going from one band to the other on the similar artists radio.. So far I have explored Danish indie music, key bands being Figurines and Oh No Ono and I also spent a good hour checking out alternative Mexican music. Chikita Violenta are pretty good.

i like exploring tag radio stations, like checking out some turkish psych or horror soundtracks or something

dufus. Over and over.

They just did a big jam revolving around my exit, and still, 15 minutes later are shouting "BYE NIC" at random intervals.
Very Happy

'Ten Places to Die' - Six by Seven. Perhaps my all time favourite band, at least of ones existing in my lifetime. The last time I saw them live my ears hurt for days afterwards, which obviously is bad medically speaking, but it was an amazing gig, a wall of sound mixing brutality and beauty....

Nonononono!!!

The new stuff is absolutely amazing, easily as good as anything from the home recordings (which I love, so so so much). Instant Coffee Baby is one of their best songs. And The Avocado Baby!!!

I don't know which version of NYAP I prefer, but I definitely prefer the old 'We Dress Up Like Snowmen'.
